with Helena Hutchings and Marina Scott (nee White)

The idea to run a Junior Handling Training Day came to us as there really is not enough training for  juniors anymore.

Back in the early nineties when both myself and Marina were handling there were training weekends and weeks in all areas of the country as well as other seminars and workshops on offer. We both learnt so much from very well respected people in the dog world and decided that the skills we have learnt should not be wasted and really need to be passed onto the Juniors of today.

The demand for our handling training days has been enormous, so much so, what was only going to be a one day event has turned into a eight training days so far!

We have trained at numerous locations from New Haw in Surrey, to Chieveley, Leicestershire and Hertfordshire to name but a few.

The set up for the day is very relaxed with a raffle and mini competition all included in the entry fee.
Marina
opens the day with a short talk on Sportsmanship, Etiquette and personal presentation, this is followed by several practical sessions on pattern work and the show stance. We aim our training at a level which helps the handler to show their dog to its best, helping the handler to disappear into the background.

(... the best handlers disappear!!!)

This ear we plan to run adult handling classes in conjunction with regional canine clubs.

We are also available to train on handling techniques on behalf of your local canine club or breed club. We can tailor packages towards your specific needs  and give you everything you require at very reasonable prices.
